点评:Docked behind the Columbia River Maritime Museum we find the United States lightship Columbia. A beautifully preserved lightship that was in service for 28 years. Built by the Rice Brothers Shipyard and commissioned in 1951. It's hard to think that once upon a time we needed men stationed aboard a ship out at sea to function as what we now know as buoys. Yet, this is what we once needed to keep ships safe and thank goodness for the crews they once had. Entry to the ship is granted by purchasing a ticket from the Columbia River Maritime Museum. Access may be tight and stairways may be steep but for those who are curious about maritime living will get their fill here. Almost all points of this ship maybe seen although some rooms are blocked off for preservation sake. You get to observe the cramped living spaces here and wonder how 10 men stationed here passed the time. I didn't know when I came here but access to the engine room is available through the engine room tours. Ask at the front desk if you're curious. If you're going to take it all in, I'd say it'll take about 30 minutes to take your time and see everything. Quicker if you're just going to glance and move on.
Cheers.

祝好。
