Queen's Staircase的点评
点评：There was no access to Fort Fincastle. That has been the case since mid-March, 2025. Check an official site to see when they expect it to reopen.
It is an uphill walk from the eastern end of the Bay Street tourist zone. The streets approaching the staircase are lined mainly with government buildings of some sort. A hospital campus occupies the final couple of blocks.
We had an informal tour guide give us a history of the staircase, fort and water tower. He received a tip. There is a public restroom at the base of the staircase. Reports are that the women’s room is tidy.
The approach to the staircase is as impressive as the view at the top. You’re in a manmade ravine. I am not sure how the waterfall fits in to the history.
There is a bar and a drink vendor at the top.
Once you check the view, you descend the stairs and head back to Bay Street.
