Expansive, glorious beach
Pink Sands Beach的点评
点评：A world class beach and not to be missed (although I personally found it overrated vs all the comments about it -- the pinkness is overstated vs what I saw). If you value privacy, make sure you get past the resort section and up to the section where all the houses are (for example north of Coral Sands and Blue Bar). We walked forever and saw no one. I have no idea who lives at these houses but not a single person was out. It’s a neat experience to be on such a cool beach with zero people around.
IMO this beach and French Leave beach are exact duplicates of each other in term of sand and water (French Leave has no resorts or houses). So if you don't have time to get up to HI and see Pink Sands, just go visit French Leave and pretend there are some houses and resorts around and you'll have it.
This is an Atlantic side beach which means there will be more wind and waves. If you like laying on the sand listening to the sound of waves and don't care to get in the water too much, this is the place for you. I discovered that I personally like the the Caribbean side beaches of Eleuthera better (better colors and calmer, shallower water).
