First time on a dirtbike. What a way to start!
Adventure Trail Rides的点评
点评：I got my motorcycle licence about 9 months ago, and figured it was time to try a dirtbike--mainly just to help overcome my fear of riding on regular dirt and gravel roads. So I Googled, found Adventure Trail Rides and discovered that they do off-road coaching tours. I did not really know what to expect, but it sounded good.
What I got: a full day of riding on 4wd tracks and across paddocks, climbing up some lovely hills to amazing views. I was going on harder, steeper, bumpier stuff than I ever imagined I would do in one day. Grenville, my guide, certainly won't mollycoddle you if you don't want, and I was challenged. I will admit I was nervous in places, but in a good way. I was being pushed, but just enough, and not too far. He always stopped and asked how I was doing and what I was keen on next.
The day cost me $645, which was the 6-hour tour and a bike rental. It may seem like a lot, but considering what I got, I feel it was an insane bargain.
If you are thinking of getting in to dirtbiking, just want to try it out and/or want to improve you skills in general, this is the place to go.
If you are new to this, I really recommend getting the lightest bike that fits you. I am 6 foot 1 and had a Suzuki DRZ400, which had plenty of power and was a perfect size without scaring me.
I cannot afford to buy another motorcycle right now, but I may make a day tour at Adventure Trail Rides an annual present to myself.
