甘蔗园湾的点评
点评：Well, it’s fair to say that the views on the trip over from the port were amazing and the scenery around the bay is stunning but sadly that’s where the fabulous experience we were expecting finished. The return taxi fair was $24 each. On the way over to the bay we had an air conditioned mini bus; the driver was great, he pointed out interesting sites and had free WiFi which he encouraged us to use if we wanted to. He stopped so that we could see the view over the bay and explained clearly the process to get the taxi back. We had wrist bands so that we knew which taxi to get. Once at the beach there were many staff pointing us to the left hand side where we paid $30 for 2 very old and uncomfortable sun beds and a beach umbrella that had seen better days. The staff were incredibly grumpy and unhelpful. The free WiFi was not strong enough to cope with the number of people attempting to use it so a complete waste of time. The freshwater shower in the ladies toilets was not working (sadly I didn’t photograph the sign which looked as though it had been there a while) and only one toilet flushed, the others were blocked.
After listening to other people recommending this bay we were really looking forward to it but couldn’t have been more disappointed. The bar we were ushered into was Glen Seaside bar, we really wished we’d ignored these people and gone to the right instead where the sun beds seemed to be much nicer. The taxis back were plentiful at the time we returned, this time in one of the open type so no driver communication. Oh well, we’ve done it now so not to be repeated. I hope this is helpful to other people visiting; just to make you aware.
