点评：Amazing sites and a must visit. The drive is a lot, so plan accordingly. You have to register to view any of the good stuff. The tours are where it took a negative for me. The rangers are following a script, that is lite on content and context but spends a ridiculous amount of time on community as you stand around a pit called a “Kiva”. Cool but all your time is spent standing around while the Ranger talks. For Crystal Palace, which is amazing, you walk down, walk in front of the whole thing, stand around a kiva for 20 minutes and then you exit. I wanted to look around, take pictures but you can’t because you’re either walking with the group and stopping for pics slows the group or you’re standing there listening to the Ranger. The lengthy Ranger diatribe and lack of ability to view and explore was a negative as well as their weird script. Also note that the visitor center closes at 4pm. You’ll be hard pressed to catch that at the end of the day as it’s 20-30 minutes from the cliff dwellings back to the front. While the whole park is very well maintained, it’s starting to feel like you can look at a distance, and have a passing glance at some of the spaces but not too close. Also note the museum has the slimest examples of artifacts I’ve ever seen! Literally <5 pieces of original pottery displayed with a lot of recreations from 1936? Whatever that’s about, I don’t understand.
