Good shops but too loud and too bright

点评：In the last year/months Cockburn Central has gotten even louder and brighter.
A couple of years ago the issue started with a few newer shops playing music too loudly but we could scoot past them and deal with it.
But last 2 times we went and this time, the music for the actual shopping centre was so loud as to be unbearable and the lighting is much brighter. No respite anywhere.
Last night was so bad- my kids could not cope at all and it was extremely stressful and unpleasant for me too.
We had to scurry about to grab essentials and cut short our visit, with the kids not getting to look where they wanted to because they needed to get out.
It was unbearable.
We had one visit a few weeks ago where we managed to spend some time in games world (awesome staff and great stock), but the rest of the centre- yikes!
When we dropped in to get the kids something in maybe May/early June having not been for months, the light was suddenly was so bad that I got an instant headache, like a migraine precursor, and the ambient hubbub and music blasting from shops was so loud that the littlest one said they were scared and wanted to go home (this was a child about to go spend money on toys!!) and the others agreed.
That trip made me physically ill with migraine.
Whatever has been made "new and improved" has actually made the centre pretty much unusable for us now, which is sad because it used to be the best place to get a bunch of things done at once and the kids loved being able to get what was needed then go for something to eat and a play out the front. (Also often too loud now)
