Very average boat trip

点评：The trip out from Lochinver was pleasant enough and got some great views of the mountains and while I fully understand that seeing a variety of of wildlife can’t be guaranteed the skipper of the boat needs to be able to share some local knowledge of the landscape and what people are looking at, he was welcoming enough when everyone got onto the boat but for the rest of the 2hr trip he only left the wheelhouse twice to point out a seal on a beach and some deer on top of a hill half a mile away. He could have stopped the boat at a couple of places and talked about the local area and maybe a bit of local history of the stretch of coastline we were on to make up for the lack of wildlife but as far as I could tell he spent a good part of the time eating crisps and just going through the motions so I don’t really rate it very highly. If there had been more wildlife about and some dolphins or porpoise about then that would be great but when they aren’t about he has to try and make up for that in some way to justify the cost of the trip.
