点评:Fort Frederik is the most important historical location on the island of St. Croix but unfortunately it hasn't had the curation and upkeep of the fort and administrative buildings in Christiansted. It's an old very RED fort built in 1760 to protect the west end of the island and the calm waters there.
Others posting on the fort quote a $5 admission. We were charged $10 each and while I'm glad it can help support the fort it was not worth the admission price. There are a few rooms with various local flavor including local art inspired by the colonial past of St. Croix from school children that was interesting. A few rooms of items that provided context to the past use of the fort and a nice view out over the Pier in Frederikstad.
It took us about fifteen minutes to literally see everything. I'm glad I went but I will not be making a visit on any return visit to St. Croix which is likely given how much we enjoyed ourselves overall.
