Just Not My Beach Type
Shoal Bay的点评
点评：Ok so call me picky.
I love beaches. And this one has the reputation of one of the most pristine ones or "best ones" in the world.
And it is gorgeous for sure. But being familiar with over a 100 Caribbean beaches by now, it does not rank top 20.
That must be me, as many journalists and happy customers seem of a different opinion. And I know why.
I like two types of beaches. The relatively quiet with vegetation aside - Bathsheba on Barbados, Baie Rouge on St. Martin come to mind, or Anse Marcel right opposite Anguilla - or the lively. Meaning some, not too much amenities dotted around in a playful not over-resorty way. Thinking of Worthing Barbados, Anse Chastanet St Lucia, Friars Bay or Orient Bay north end St Martin here.
Shoal Bay fits none of the categories. Anguilla is so exclusive a retreat, that anonimity - for me - sucks up atmosphere. Shoal Bay also lacks the vegetation that the first category has. In other words, my personal preferences don't match the shoal bay hype.
Do I dislike Anguilla? Not at all. Mead's Bay has all my preferences and look forward to make landfall once again.

浅滩湾不符合任何一种类型。安圭拉岛是一个如此独特的度假胜地，对我来说，这种默默无闻的氛围会破坏它的氛围。浅滩湾也缺乏第一类岛屿所拥有的植被。换句话说，我个人的喜好与浅滩湾的宣传不符。
我不喜欢安圭拉岛吗？一点也不。米德斯湾符合我所有的喜好，我期待着再次登陆。
