Good snorkelling, challenging swim
Church Bay Beach的点评
点评：We were keen to snorkel here having read that the beach was know for this. The beach looks beautiful and has signs of pink sand, a few shells can be found there. The sea was quite rough on the sunny August day that we visited. My teenage son thought it too rough for him to snorkel as his swimming is not so strong. It was hard to get in and out owing to the wave action. Not suitable for small children on the day we visited. As per the info we swam a way out to the two boilers visible on the right of bay and here was the good snorkelling! Fascinating underwater ‘bowls’ with corals and fish. All the usual fish were here, we saw Spanish hogfish, filefish and soapfish to add to our list of fish we had not seen so far in BDA. Over on the left of the bay was another area of rock which had loads of parrot fish and it was fun to hover over them in the waves, felt like we were in a washing machine together. So a great bay but a challenging swim I would say. My son did have fun in the surf.
