点评：Not been since I was a child and was taken by my Grandparents, more years than I care to remember I went with my niece so hope to create the same kind of memories I have of the place. Definitely worth booking in advance, especially in the holidays when hot, otherwise they sell out, also check the times the pool is open and the sessions as they open for two sessions, close for an hour between them, there were people turning up an hour before the session was finishing so definitely not worth the cost for an hour. The grounds are well maintained and lots of grass to have a picnic on, there are benches around, but worth bringing your own chairs, if like me find it hard to get up off the ground in a dignified way.
My niece loved the pool, but it was far too cold for me, I was full of cold so that also did not help, it was a shame I could not go in the water with her but she was in an out over the session, but it got to a point where she was very cold, so we decided to call it a day, but it was a lovely half day.
Parking is free, but is limited so best to get there early to find a good spot.
The cafe is okay, we had a bacon sandwich, hotdog and a chicken burger, all were okay, a tad expensive and took a while to cook but not being organised I did not pack a picnic which would have been better.
Did not use the changing facilities so cannot comment on them, but no doubt they are like any pool swimming, damp and busy and not a place I like to put my bare feet on the floor,
It is worth going the more that go the more it will keep the pool open, as so many swimming pools have closed since COVID and it is a shame if this is to be lost as it has already been closed to the public once.
