点评:This was a tour of a rum brand that has been produced in St. Croix since the 1700s. The tour took us through the various phases of rum making. It took about 40 minutes. We were able to interact with various people along the tour. The tour was made interesting by our guide, Desha.
At the end of the tour, we returned to the visitor center where we were able to sample 4 rums each and get 2 cocktails. Between us we tried 8 different rums. Both of us had the Cruzan Confusion which was the cocktail of the day. It was excellent and even better than the one that we had at Rum Runners. I talked to different employees to get a recipe to no avail. Everyone had a different recipe for making it. My second drink was made with their discontinued Guava Rum. It was disappointing to hear that Cruzan discontinued the Guava Rum since Guava is my favorite fruit. The Guava Rum was my primary reason for taking the tour because I assumed that I would be able to purchase some to take home. My partner had a Blue Velvet cocktail for the second cocktail.
There is a very nice sitting area with several chairs and tables where guests can relax and enjoy their cocktails.
One note of warning is that you should take all of your pictures while on the tour. Once the tour is over you will not be allowed to take any photographs even of outdoor buildings.
