点评:Yeh Pulu is an ancient archeological site dating back to the 14th or 15th century.
It's a very small site - a carved relief spanning 25 metres of rock wall, with various characters depicted in everyday activities of the time: a boy saluting, two men carrying a newly-hunted boar (with another being attacked by a very much "alive" boar), another man carrying ‘tuak’ (palm wine) in ceramic jars, another man carrying a garden hoe, and so on. There is a small temple at one end.
Interestingly, some theories state that these carvings were not made by the "professionals" of the time, but by simple village people of that era. ("Yeh" means water and "Pulu" means barrel, alluding to a water barrel used as a place for washing rice.) The whole site is really a tribute to both the spiritual and earthly concerns of the local people from this long-ago time.
Yeh Pulu is near the village of Bedulu, and is best worked into a longer visit to the area. Goa Gajah and Pura Samuan Tiga are quite nearby.
You need to walk about 10-15 minutes down a paved path to reach it. There is a large cafe (and guesthouse) by the path. Ignore anyone offering to be a "guide"; you won't need it.
