Railroad Museum Sours Our Visit With Negative Attitudes and Management

点评：I've been to this railroad museum several times throughout the years, and I always had a good time. This visit was anything but good. We were invited to walk the grounds and see the various railroad equipment by members of the engine crew. As we did this various employees of the museum and railroad told us in nasty and sarcastic voices and words that we could not be where we were. This happened several times, and only one person asked us to move politely. My guess is that some members of the engine crew did not get the memo about being rude to patrons visiting the railroad. Obviously a change in policy has taken place at this museum. Even some of employees and those of adjacent Rail Explorers did not have positive things to say about the current management and the woman who runs the operation. I know we will not be visiting the railroad again, as the experience left a very bad taste in our mouths.
Also, we were openly lied to when we contacted the railroad two days before our visit. We were told the steam train would be running on the day of our visit, which was why we drove to Iowa to see it. It was not running, and employees informed us that the locomotive was inoperable all week. What a way to run a railroad! We put out considerable money to make the trip just to see the steam locomotive pull the train. We decided against riding the train and the trolley line as well. We were very sorry to see this change in the attitude of the railroad's management.
