Top notch organization, stellar canoe trip

点评：Missouri River outfitters is a top-notch organization. Both of our guides (Heather and Randy) were knowledgeable and fun. My husband and I were the weak links but they didn't make us feel that way. They took us under their wings and taught us what we needed to know and helped us learn to paddle. The food they prepared was exceptional and provided a lot of variety. Everything fresh and cooked from scratch. We had more than enough beer, wine, and water. The equipment was in excellent shape and top quality tents, cots and camp chairs. The WAG toilet system was always clean and odor free.
The river itself was at times placid and easy to move along and at other times a strong wind provided a more challenging day of paddling. Scenery was spectacular. Amazing sandstone formations and White cliffs were seen from the boat as well as from several hikes. We saw lots of bald eagles, a pelican, turtles, numerous other birds and the occasional mouse and snake. Other than the cattle grazing along the river most of this stretch of the river looked as it must have to Lewis and Clark when they came through on their exploration. We were lucky to have very comfortable weather with just a bit of rain on the last morning to let us know how lucky we really were.
