点评：We had an amazing day exploring Guernsey with Amanda—it was truly unforgettable. Her knowledge and passion for the island made every stop feel meaningful and engaging. In just four hours, we saw so much of Guernsey’s history, beauty, and charm. The flowers were incredible, and the community pride really stood out.
A highlight for us was the German Occupation Museum. It’s a deeply personal collection that’s been a lifelong project for the owner, Richard. Meeting him was a special touch that brought the history to life.
We also visited the German Underground Hospital, which was haunting and powerful. Walking through the tunnels gave us a real sense of what life was like during the war.
One of the most unexpected and magical stops was The Little Chapel, the smallest consecrated church in the world, completely decorated with pottery and shells. It was unlike anything we’ve seen before!
Amanda was fantastic the whole time—answering questions, sharing stories, and giving great recommendations for the rest of our stay. She made sure we got the most out of every place we visited.
After our tour, we met up with the rest of our family for a 2-hour hike through Jerbourg, which inspired The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It was about a five-mile hike with a few tough spots, but the views of the English Channel were 100% worth it.
Amanda made our time in Guernsey incredibly special. If you’re visiting the island, don’t miss the chance to tour with her. She’s a wonderful guide and a great representative of Guernsey!
