Two lovely buildings on a prominent corner.
Museum Phuket的点评
点评：While spending time in Phuket Town we went looking for the Clocktower Building as we had seen pictures of it . Given directions by a couple of friendly locals we found it on a corner with the very same colour old Charter Bank Building , both very impressive.
They now make up Museum Phuket.
We went in for a look around both buildings, free entry.
Some interesting things to see, some amazing wood furniture with mother of Pearl inlay.
Lots of photos, history stuff to read, We did not know that Phuket became well known and wealthy when tin was discovered here.
So before there was tourism the place did very well because of the rich tin mines here, plenty of information on that .
In the building with the clock tower we were able to go up into the clocktower to see the workings of the four face clock.
It was very hot up there, the other areas were all nice and cool .
Well worth the visit , lots to learn and see.
