An Unforgettable afternoon on the Water with South Skye Sea Kayak

点评：We had such a fantastic time with South Skye Sea Kayak — it genuinely ended up being one of our favourite experiences on Skye.
We set off from Armadale Bay and paddled towards the Point of Sleat. Right from the start, Kevin and the team made everything feel easy and relaxed. The gear was brilliant: proper wetsuits, warm wetsuit socks, and really good waterproof jackets, all fitted perfectly for each of us (which was impressive given our very different sizes!). Even though it was late October, the weather was calm, still, and surprisingly warm — we couldn’t have asked for better conditions.
I’ll be honest, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, but sea kayaks are seriously impressive. We tried both single kayaks and a double, and I couldn’t quite believe I was steering with my feet in the tandem one. It felt like a small revelation!
We were lucky with wildlife too — spotting seals and even an otter was such a treat. Halfway through, we pulled up on a little secluded beach for hot Ribena, which tasted amazing after paddling across such calm, glassy water.
Kevin and the whole team were just brilliant: friendly, reassuring, and fun to spend time with. They struck that perfect balance of keeping us safe while making the whole outing feel like an adventure shared with friends.
If you’re heading to Skye and want to try something a bit different, I can’t recommend South Skye Sea Kayak enough. We’d happily do it all over again.
