点评:We went to Los Ayala in April 2024 and arrived the day after Easter Monday..
The beaches are great and easy to swim in....There are many small Meixcan eateries
and small stores...It is, understandably, very 'Mexican Centric' and doesn't cater to
non-mexican tourists...The people are courteous and the town feels safe enough to walk around in...Be aware, however, that like many small dusty towns the lighting at night is not great and walking on the streets can be challenging; if not dangerous..
I would say that this town is more suited to young & adventurous travellers who come equipped with a good set of 'walking boots' and a 'flashlight' and who enjoy traditional Mexican Food.....We did find a new restaurant called Mi Noche de Billar that had a great menu featuring great Salads, Pizza, Chicken Wings, Pasta, etc for those (like my wife) that find Mexican food a little too spicy...
They don't yet have a great 'Garbage/Recyling' plan so expect to see things we wouldn't condone in Canada...Even in some 'higher end' Air Bnb's you can use the toilet but Can't Flush the toilet paper!..(not for all tastes)
For seniors like us, we will likely return to the nearby town of Guayabitos as it has more of the amenities we value and a greater choice of the accomodations and food that cater to 'non-mexican' tourists..
All in all , we have fond memories of our trip to Los Ayala but won't likely return...
