点评:To start, the portion of I-95 in South Carolina is extremely outdated is only 2 lanes each direction and the pavement is awful. It is often backed up and even when its not people treat the road like its a playground. It's an interesting drive for those who like driving but it can get boring especially when there is traffic. I remember one night the day after Christmas we were headed southbound and when we got on from I-26 there was no one on the road until we saw an electronic sign that read "Heavy Traffic Ahead". The driver decided that it was better stay on the road rather then to get lost on some weird rural backroad. It was dark so I couldn't read my book. It was a constant stop and go for an hour and a half until we got to the Hardeeville area. Once we got there we were standstill for what felt like an hour. Then we finally crossed the savannah river into Georgia and the lanes increased to 3 and all traffic ceased. Its the same going northbound and I have had many other bad experiences with the road that would take too long to describe.
The actual welcome center is just ok but the road it is on makes it way worse. If you plan on traveling I-95 in South Carolina soon use extreme caution.
