点评:Whilst this island is very pretty, we felt it was expensive and a disappointment for 2 reasons. Firstly, there are many seabirds nesting there, and so the smell of guana in places is rather overpowering. While there is not a great deal that can be done about that ( it's their island too), the fact that dead chick's were just left rotting underneath the trees was unnecessary. As experienced sailors, snorkellers and scuba divers, the second thing that was more frustrating for us was the swimming/ snorkelling area. You will see very little of interest within the cordoned off area as the tiny portion of reef within it is allowed to be stood and trampled on by inexperienced visitors who have no idea of the damage they are doing The Lifeguards do absolutely nothing to stop that behaviour and take an opportunity to educate people so when they visit elsewhere they don't cause even more damage to the precious underlying ecosystems. Our group wanted to look at and take photographs of the underwater world, but they were continually whistled at as they tried to explore areas with better, less damaged corals and fish life. Priority is given to speeding boats rather than the enjoyment of guests. Such a shame...it could be a better experience for all levels of snorkellers if only there were signs telling people not to stand on the corals etc and staff were aware of the environmental damage people are causing. It hadn't even occured to the Lifeguard we spoke to that underwater habitats are being obliterated and spoiling the experience for future visitors....he just told us it was up to the Fisheries department!! Really?
