点评:There is a small area for parking next to the start of the path. I’d get there early as spaces filled up quick.
To get to the devils pulpit (if coming from Balloch direction and parking in the small car park) you need to walk down the road until you have crossed the bridge/water, then can turn left into the woods and walk to the entrance to the pulpit.
Sometimes the path (in the woods) takes you right next to the edge, which is just a sheer drop. Be very careful when walking to/from the pulpit.
Once at the ladder, it is a treacherous climb down. The first third of the steps are ok, as is the last bit. The middle section isn’t great. You need to be very careful climbing down. Some reviews say there is rope to hold onto when descending. There is no rope.
Once in the devils pulpit, it felt so peaceful. The water is a dark red/brown colour. The high sides of the rock are green.
I would recommend waterproof clothing and boots.
