Dordogne Vineyard Tours的点评
点评：one of the highlights was our wine tour with Dordogne Vinyard Tours .
From my first communication with Sue I knew we would be in for an amazing tour and I was right. When Vince picked us up his knowledge of the wine region in Bergerac and surrounding areas was excellent.
We got to visit 3 wineries and tasted around 15-18 wines during the day.
First up was Chateau de Peyrel certified for production of organic wines and specialising in Rosette, a sweet wine unlike other. Top tip if you want to get into sweet wines stop thinking of it as a dessert wine and try it with a curry.
Next up Chateau Terre Ville which is in Pecharmant - the red wine region (but does a beautiful Rosé). This was also our setting for a beautiful lunch. It was so relaxing to sit amongst the vines and enjoy our lunch which was the most beautiful French cheese and charcuterie with a bottle of rosé. They also have a beautiful dog who became out bets friend over lunch to claim their cheese tax.
Last but by no means least we visited Domaine Albert de Conti this may have been my favourite of the three as it has a sparkling wine and I was even persuaded to try a red wine (and I actually liked it). The wines were all light and very drinkable and were more to my taste of wine. Some of these wines are able to be bought in the Uk so I’m definitely going to be trying to find some.
I loved the diversity of the tour. Each winery offered something different so there was something for everyone to enjoy. I also learned so much that I wasn’t aware of before.
Thanks Sue and Vince for a fabulous day. It’s one we will remember for a while.
