10 km Scenic Trail Around a Lovely Lake, but...

点评：There is a lot to appreciate about this easy, well-maintained, and very popular walking trail around Elk/Beaver Lake. The path is clearly marked, including kilometer markers throughout. There are 2-3 clean restrooms along the way, and the many walkers and runners are generally friendly, smiling, and greeting each other. Bicycles are not allowed on the trail.
However, about one-third of the path runs relatively close to a noisy road, which takes away from the full nature experience. While there is plenty of nice scenery, and it's easy to find spots for swimming or picnicking, the area feels a bit too manicured.
This trail is probably most enjoyable for runners who can dash along with their headsets on. Hikers looking for untouched nature might find it a bit disappointing.
