点评:We enjoyed the short walk up to and vista from Cerro de Punta.
Google searching "Cerro de Punta Trailhead" gets you to the right parking lot for the walk.
If this is your first time driving in PR, be prepared: The mountain roads are very narrow (1.5 cars wide but two directions); roads can be in very poor condition; animals (dogs, chickens, iguanas) dart out into the road; and the words Puerto Ricans themselves use to describe their fellow drivers is very unflattering. When we went, PR-143, the road approaching Cerro de Punta from the W was in poor condition. However PR-149, the road we used to leave Cerro de Punta to the East, was in MUCH better condition - a less stressful drive. If heading there from the Ponce area, I would strongly recommend the PR-149 route - unless locals indicate PR-143 (West of Cerro de Punta) has been improved.
If going to / leaving from Cerro de Punta via PR-149, consider stopping at Cascada/Chorro Dona Juana as it's only a short detour.
