TPC Danzante Bay is one of the most beautiful golf courses I have ever played. The course conditions were outstanding, every hole was memorable, and the layout is truly world-class. My wife and I had an incredible round, and Hole 17 is every bit as breathtaking as everyone says.
Unfortunately, the experience on the signature 17th hole was disappointing.
After paying a premium green fee to play one of Mexico’s premier golf courses, we arrived at the 17th green only to have to wait because a group of people was using the green for a photo session. They arrived in a white van. The group consisted of one man dressed entirely in black and three women wearing black tops, white skirts, and copper-colored name tags. They were not dressed like either the Villa del Palmar resort staff or the golf course staff we had seen throughout our visit. I don’t know who they were, but it was honestly unbelievable that paying golfers had to wait for a photo shoot to finish before being able to play the course’s signature hole.
To make matters worse, we had no one behind us throughout the entire front nine. Once we made the turn, another golfer jumped onto the back nine several holes behind us. By the time we reached the 17th hole and were delayed by the photo shoot, that golfer had skipped multiple holes and was suddenly waiting behind us. It took away from what should have been the highlight of our round and made us feel unnecessarily rushed.
This is not a criticism of the golf course itself—it is exceptional and absolutely worth playing. It is simply feedback to protect the golfer’s experience. When guests are paying premium prices, active golf holes—especially the iconic 17th—should be reserved exclusively for golfers. Photo shoots should not delay play, and groups should be monitored to ensure they are following the proper sequence of holes.
Despite this frustrating experience, we truly enjoyed our round and would gladly return. I hope management addresses these operational issues because the course deserves an experience that matches its incredible beauty.

更糟糕的是，在前九洞的整个过程中，我们身后都没有其他球手。等我们打完前九洞后，又有一名球手从后九洞的某个位置加入了我们。当我们打到第17洞时，由于摄影环节耽搁了时间，那名球手已经跳过了好几个洞，现在竟然就排在我们后面等着了。这破坏了本应是我们这一轮打球时的精彩时刻，还让我们感到不必要的仓促与紧张。
这并非对高尔夫球场本身的批评——它确实出色至极，绝对值得一玩。这只是为了提升球手体验而提出的建议而已。当顾客支付了高昂的费用后，那些活跃的球洞——尤其是极具标志性的第17洞——理应仅供球手使用。拍摄活动不应耽误正常的打球进程。应对球员及球团进行监督，以确保他们按照正确的顺序打球。
尽管经历了这些令人沮丧的状况，我们仍然非常享受这次打球之旅，也乐意再次光临。希望管理层能解决这些运营上的问题，因为这座球场理应带给游客与其绝美风光相匹配的体验。
