The Clubhouse的点评
点评：This place was so bad I decided to violate my policy to not review restaurants anymore. My general dissatisfaction with the cost vs. the experience of going out for a meal has pretty much forced me to eat home since pandemic. But The Clubhouse is worse and worth a mention.
It is cavernous and geared towards kids. A friend & myself, both older adults, dropped in for a drink & a bite. The “bar” is a huge room with at least 30 couch-living room groupings. The couches are old, worn & slouchy. Not easy to eat from. Food is served on a coffee table level surface. This is an issue since they use floppy paper plates so, of course, everything ends up on the FILTHY floor.
There was a special abbreviated menu and they did not have my first 2 choices of draft beer from that menu. We ordered a pepperoni pizza ($25) and fried calamari ($mid teens). Both were inedible. The pizza was glossy-greasy. The calamari had a gallon of cardboard like breading on it. Both were not good food.
Our server was very nice but a terrible server. She kept trying to take my drinks and food before I was finished. I guess she thinks a quarter of a glass of a $9 beer is ‘finished’. If I wasn’t continually eating the calamari, which I could not, she would start taking away my place setting. She was known to my friend so we tipped her extremely well anyway.
As we sat there children continuously ran through the bar screaming. There are lots of places for the kids to scream here - it’s huge & most of the rooms are kid-oriented. But no one stopped them, even their parents who were in the room.
Noisy when empty, kids running through the bar area, lousy food, bad service, discomfort. You have to give 1 star in order to write the review.
