Such an amazing weekend on a fantastic narrowboat.

点评：My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic weekend on board Chalkhill Blue. Although it was overwhelming with so much to learn and remember it was great fun. The boating community are so welcoming and friendly offering to help when we needed it.
We learned so many new skills but got to spend the days in the tranquility of the river and countryside. At night the silence was deafening but during the day all you could hear is the noise of the engine and birdsong.
I found this trip idyllic.The boat was beautifully designed and decorated with all we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The boat was comfortable of an evening with the heating on and snuggled up to watch tv or play cards.
There are so many pubs and restaurants en route (but check when not in peak season).
The hero of our holiday had to be Dave/David who is a volunteer of 13 years at Foxton Locks. He was so helpful and encouraging and went above and beyond to make our trip smoother and memorable. Thank you Dave.
