点评:To escape the mid day Vegas heat, we decided to take in the Titanic Artifacts Exhibition and Museum. It was worth every cent. They provide you with an admissions tickets from White Star Line based on a real person from the past who sailed on the Titanic. As you wind thru the exhibit it is best to take your time and read as many of the descriptions as you can to get a feel for the Titanic. In addition to the various artifacts that have been recovered, the tour takes you through what things were like back then for third class passengers, second class passengers, and eventually the opulence of those in first class. A recreation of the 'grand staircase' is also a must see.
But, the real gem of the tour is the 16 ton section of the Titanic's actual hull that was excavated from the bottom of the ocean and eventually made its way to this exhibition. How did this ship ever sink? Eventually, you reach a room that lists every single person who perished in this tragedy, as well as those who survived. At this time you scan your admissions ticket to see if the passenger you are representing survived or went down with the ship -- a really interesting twist that brings the entire Titanic event to life.
This is one of the better and more interesting Vegas attractions and is highly recommended.
