点评:If you prefer less touristy beaches with fewer crowds and don't mind the lack of facilities (no toilets, fresh water or refreshments) this is a great beach. Dogs allowed off lead all year round and plenty of corners by the rocks to set up camp for the day. Shallow for a good way out so it was safe for swimming even for our 8yo. Great for kayaks and SUPs, a few caves and rock pools for exploring too.
Be aware though that if you're driving it's not for the faint hearted or those with big vehicles. The lane down to the beach is very narrow, steep and twisty with lots of blind bends. There is parking for maybe half a dozen cars at the actual beach so would suggest looking up the nearby National Trust car park (use sat nav to find postcode, don't use beach one) and walking down from there. The walk from this car park is about 10 mins on way down but longer on way back if you are unfit as it's very steep in places. Once parked there is a sign at the rear of the car park for a footpath through trees and fields which saves walking down the narrow lane (it's that tight that cars struggle to make room for pedestrians).
