A tailored trip with a very responsive travel agent

点评：This is not a review of Vietnam/Cambodia and the great sites and experiences we had during our trip. Don’t expect to read about what to do or to see. This is about planning a trip and the services provided by one local travel agency in Vietnam.
While researching trips to Vietnam we realized that most organizations offered a similar itinerary and figured that we rather book with a local organization than join a large group (skip a middleman and spend local.) This way we were able to tailor the trip to our preferences and needs and save some money. We found a few Vietnam-based agencies and decided that VietAsia Travel was very responsive and a good fit. Their quote was also very competitive. After a few exchanges with Mr. Do Ha we felt comfortable with his 31-day Vietnam and Cambodia Tour proposal. Since our decision to go with them, we have not once regretted our choice.
During the trip Mr. Do Ha was very responsive to our feedback and suggestions and made last minute changes/adaptations. He followed up with us and informed us who our local guides would be and made sure they were aware of our expectations (including our dietary restrictions and preferences). He also made (great) recommendations about what to do/see during our “free” time.
For people who have visited Vietnam/Cambodia, we are aware that many places ask for a review and will assist you in finding the right spot in an App on your phone. This is not one of those reviews.
