Garden is tired and not destination-worthy but go for The Botanist Café & Garden Lounge!

点评：Our vacation rental was nearby so we scootered to the garden on a weekday morning in early June 2024 as we’d read about free garden tours by knowledgeable volunteer docents. When we arrived, we couldn’t locate a garden visitor center or much signage about the garden or tours. It’s a sprawling place with lots of roads/paths and we eventually located signage with ‘Garden tours meet here’ but no other information. We waited and looked around but there was no sign of any tour or guide. We concluded there was no tour and it was also evident that the garden had seen better days. We walked around and some of the exhibits no longer exist and the Camden House is closed. It was pleasant but the garden was certainly not destination-worthy, especially if you are only in Bermuda for a short vacation. The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art looked nice but we did not go in the museum. The tiny museum gift shop there was cool with some neat handcrafted items. The highlight of our visit, though, was the little café called The Botanist in the museum building which we had not known about. They had nice lunch items and had recently introduced a cocktail menu! The cafe staff were really friendly and helpful and the courtyard was quite pleasant. Check out the toads in the fountain. You order at the counter and find a table and they bring your items. We had a ham and brie sandwich, IPA on draft and cocktails. All were great.
