The Cage wasn’t what we’d hoped.

点评：Normally l have nothing but praise for the escape rooms of Knowescape but sadly not this time. Having completed seven of their rooms in the past we had high expectations for The Cage which l believe is their latest game? Unfortunately we were all disappointed and didn’t come away with that euphoric feeling that we would usually. What went wrong? Well, firstly a couple of padlocks that hadn’t been re-set in the game. This is very annoying and this particular game didn’t have loads of padlocks unlike other games, In fact, in the first room there was really very little to do at all. We also wasted time trying to figure out the importance of a child’s bike which now had no relevance. There is the added fear of a live actor. I can see this would be terrifying for some (we expected nothing less) but to be honest he popped up so often it was as if he was part of our team! Overall we all felt the game was clunky, it lacked the flow of other games. A couple of the puzzles were particularly hard and there were things that didn’t make much sense? For example why was there a gate chained with karabiners (that we were forbidden to touch) and not padlocks? The actor opened this and it made life easier. Anyway, some people may love the game but for all of us it was our least favourite game to date. If you like lots of rooms and crawling about then maybe you’ll enjoy it more but l would recommend others before this one. On a plus note, the staff were great fun and enthusiastic and they obviously apologised for not having missed a couple of things in the set up.
