点评：I have made 5 trips this year to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN from Western South Dakota. 2 times with my mother & 3 times with my husband. The Gonda building is part of the Mayo Clinic buildings that are all connected. My family received superior care from every doctor they saw. My husband had to have open heart surgery, double bypass. He's only 53! They make the most of your time and work very hard to accommodate all of your appointments into 1 trip. We travel over 600 miles one way to get there, so that's important for us. My husband just had his 6-month appointments which included a stress test, angiogram, blood tests, EKG, and appts with the heart dr and his medical examiner to do his FAA flight physical. All done in a matter of 3 days.
Rochester has a lot of shopping & restaurants. Most of the city is walkable, The Mayo Clinic is in the center of a lot of restaurants and close to many hotels. There is public transportation to all of the Mayo buildings & hospital. We will definitely return to The Mayo Clinic for any future major medical needs.
I also want to add, the Mayo Clinic seems daunting & overwhelming, but they make it very easy to get around and very easy to find your appointments. Give yourself some extra time until you get the hang of it. There are underground "subway" walkways & skyways to many of the hotels, restaurants and shops, so you don't have to go outside in the weather.
Rochester has a lot of shopping & restaurants. Most of the city is walkable, The Mayo Clinic is in the center of a lot of restaurants and close to many hotels. There is public transportation to all of the Mayo buildings & hospital. We will definitely return to The Mayo Clinic for any future major medical needs.

Give yourself some extra time until you get the hang of it.
