The Town of Positano的点评
点评：Imagine a person that’s stunningly gorgeous but when you get to know them you realize that’s all they really are. Nothing but vanity in their wake. That’s basically what the city of Positano feels like.
The city is beautiful with the colorful and picturesque buildings on the hill but that’s all it really has going for it.
The prices are way higher than other local Amalfi coast towns. The steps are plentiful and strenuous all throughout the city. It’s overpacked and overhyped.
It feels like a town made for the rich and the poor is basically told to go suck it. The public beach is very small and inadequate patch of water. The only other beach in the area belongs to an expensive beach club. The prices in Positano for things like dresses and ceramics are almost double the other Almafi coast towns and there are yachts littered all over this town’s port in particular.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not the worst town ever, and if I was traveling with someone that wanted to visit it, I would go again. However, I found this town to be overhyped and it underdelivered.
My recommendation would be to have tepid expectations of the city and make it a day trip from another Almafi Coast town. Don’t make it your home base hotel location. Just take the ferry for one day.
