点评：My visit to Cauvery Peak Cafe and Plantation was a great experience, especially because the coffee was amazing. I bought the Shevroys Estate Reserve, and the beans are really solid and full of flavor. I’ve been making it every morning with my pour-over V60, and it tastes good both black and with milk.
The plantation tour was really interesting. The tour guide explained everything, from the history of the plantation to how the coffee beans are processed and end up in your cup. I visited when the cherries weren’t ripe, so I only saw the raw berries, but it was still a lot of fun. I’m planning to visit again in November or December to see the whole process when the cherries are ready.
The office building on the estate has a lot of cool old things, like machines used by five generations of coffee growers. Some of them still work! The antique furniture and the manmade lake in the middle of the estate made the place even more special.
The guide also showed us how the machines clean, grade, roast, and grind the coffee beans. They do encourage you to buy their coffee, but honestly, it’s worth it because the coffee is so good. I also bought some nutmeg, which has been great for making tea to help me sleep at night.
Overall, Cauvery Peak Cafe and Plantation is a wonderful place to visit, whether you love coffee or just want to enjoy a nice day in a beautiful setting.
