Lovely Picnic Spot & Free Car Parking in Loches

点评：If you only have a short time in Loches, then you will be too busy visiting the castle and dungeon to have time to also wander through the garden.
However if like us, you have a full day here to explore, then the park is a very nice place to take a break.
Don’t expect lavish grounds or anything akin to a Botanical Gardens. Instead this is just a very nice, large local garden park. There is a fountain, a bandstand, a small stream, open grassy areas, large, spreading trees and attractive flower beds.
We had packed a picnic for our day-trip so we found a shady seat near the bandstand where we could sit. There were plenty of park benches scattered around so we could take our pick.
Overall, this is a good place to take some time out and sit peacefully. Or if you have small children, there is space for them to explore and run around.
TIP FOR CARS: There is a large, free carpark (Parking Place du Maquis Cesario.) alongside the park and the nearby sporting ovals.
