Hiking trip of a Lifetime with Alpine Hikers

点评：We’ve done many hiking trips and some international travel, but the self-guided Classic Bernese Oberland Traverse tour (11 days) was the trip of a lifetime thanks to Alpine Hikers. From the start, Abby was very helpful in answering questions and providing the appropriate information. And because of that, we had the most amazing hiking trip in the Alps! The well-described hikes were awe inspiring and really pushed me to another level of hiking. But they also provided good hike alternatives if we did not feel comfortable going to the next level. Alpine Hikers uses the Outdoor Active app to provide each hike’s details along with a map of the hike that will track where you are. To hike over a mountain pass or hike down into a village was a sense of accomplishment while surrounded by the Swiss beauty. Swiss trails are also very well marked. It was wonderful to know that we could hike all day with a day pack while our luggage was being transported to our next destination. The hotels and mountain inns that Alpine Hikers use are spotless, welcoming and always provide a good hearty breakfast and dinner. Each of our rooms provided the most beautiful views! Their cozy beds provide a comfy sleep after a good day of hiking and fresh air. Alpine Hikers also provided ideas for other things to do in each village if you had time or if you decided to opt out of the daily hike and use bus/train to get to your next location. On one day, we opted out of a hike due to sore knee and it was easy to use the bus then train to get to our next destination, and we still got to see beautiful Swiss scenery. If you enjoy amazing mountains, valleys, waterfalls and gorges while hiking, then the self-guided Classic Bernese Oberland Traverse thru Alpine Hikers is the trip for you!
