Road House Narrowboats的点评
点评：We have been Narrowboating for many years but as the Mon and Brec is an isolated waterway we cant get there with our own boat. We hired from Road House on the recommendation of friends who had been last year. From day one we were well impressed, shortly after booking we received loads of information from them about the boat and a guide book for the canal. At the boat Sally took us through all the internal details of Countess the boat we had hired for the week and once all our belongings were stowed Nigel did the outside stuff pointing out many handling differences between this boat and our own, also the difference in the way this canal is constructed compared to the Midlands Canals. He accompanied us for a short trip down the canal before bidding us farewell for the week. In the course of the week we covered the canal from end to end not stopping to sightsee as we had already visited most of the locations by car the week before . Road House are about mid way along the canal, so a journey north or south to the end would make a leisurely weeks cruise. We had a very enjoyable week on a very well appointed boat, we received more than one comment on how smart the boat looked. The Mon and Brec canal is a slow canal and its easy to walk faster than the boat can travel, not one that can be rushed, it also has far more waterside pubs serving very good food than most canals I have been on. The highlight of the boat for me was the piping hot water that stayed hot overnight and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The boat was very easy to handle being light and responsive.
