Amazing and unforgettable!

点评：Just returned from an unforgettable 7-day roving horseback trip deep into the Bob Marshall Wilderness with K Lazy 3 Outfitters, and my heart is still somewhere out there on the trail.
Our adventure kicked off when we landed in Missoula, MT, and spent our first night in Choteau. On Day 2, we made our way to the Benchmark trailhead out of Augusta and saddled up for Pretty Prairie Camp. From there, it only got better.
Day 3 brought a misty day ride as the rain rolled in, and we packed up and moved camp to Fish Camp—soaked to the bone but grinning ear to ear. One of the most incredible days followed: a 20-mile ride to the North Wall, climbing from 5,100 ft to over 7,100 ft. That lunch break? Shared with a curious mule deer doe who wandered right up to us.
The wildlife was unreal! Signs of bear and elk, a fox trotted through our camp, sandhill cranes (the loudest birds I’ve ever heard and they spooked every horse), a bald eagle, and rainbow trout flashing in the rivers.
Every morning started with the smell of strong coffee over the fire, and every night ended with a warm meal cooked by our incredible wranglers. We logged almost 70 miles on horseback in 6 days, and every step was worth it.
Coming back to a hotel room in Missoula (real bed, real toilet, the “luxuries”) felt almost wrong. Give me the sound of bells on horses, the rush of the river, and the smell of sweaty saddle horses any day!!
Montana is my favorite place on earth, and I’m already dreaming of going back with my family to sleep beside the river again. I’m so thankful I got to share this wild and beautiful experience with my best friend and my God-sent mama, Connie. What an adventure.
