点评:So we were travelling through Bute to catch another ferry, we’d managed to get on an early one and wondered what to do with purpose with our time. We saw a huge advert for it on the ferry ahhh well go there. Being NT & EH members this was right up our street - indoors or out!
We drove through beautiful woodland / gardens to info and it was closed. No problem it’s a Friday November, perhaps we can go for a walk in the grounds and take in the view. Whilst trying to read the info board a tall, Englishman, with wavy hair and glasses came out in high vis orange coat and to be quite honest was judgemental, patronising and rude! Told us they were closed, they were a charity and only annual card holders could walk in the grounds. No further offer. I had to ask seen as we were here could a take a few photos of where we were? He was agreeable to this.
In all the places we’ve visited in Scotland he’s got to be the rudest. In fact in the UK. You made us have no desire to return but we are bigger than that. A course in customer service required!
Absolute shame as the autumnal woodlands were stunning.
To reiterate the problem wasn’t that it was closed - it was his attitude.
