点评:Visited the Ocean Restaurant today, at the Flowerbowl, Barton Grange, Saturday lunchtime. It wasn’t busy at all, not to capacity. Initially, we were seated and order taken fairly quickly. We ordered pot of tea for two, as well as the food. The tea arrived swiftly, unfortunately, the food was taking too long, so at 20-25 mins after ordering, I got up to enquire. A waiter checked for us, and as if by magic, the food appeared, fair play, once I had asked, it did come, and he apologised. I noticed that the server, Liz, who had initially taken our order disappeared for at least 20 mins, this was during the time we waited for our food. Very strange, and a bit of a coincidence. Perhaps she was taking a break at the busiest lunchtime peak service time, who knows. She had a miserable demeanour about her and almost reluctantly communicated with us. On leaving and approaching the till to pay, she more or less huffed when she saw us, and when I mentioned we had had to wait for our food, she just said ‘oh did you’? No apology or wishing us a good day, nothing, zero personality. Miserable, we spent nearly £30 on lunch for two, won’t be hurrying to go back again. Just to add a note, I chose curry sauce instead of the gravy, wish I hadn’t, it was a watered version of a chip shop favourite, so if you normally like chip shop curry, don’t bother ordering it at this restaurant!!
