点评:The Algonquin area is just as beautiful as it was some years ago, but it is a lot more crowded. Perhaps some "etiquette" suggestions might be posted at the beginning of the trails, and those of us who appreciate peace and quiet might enjoy the hiking experience more fully. When catching up to, or passing by another hiker, a simple "nice day" may be more appreciated than an analysis of what the other person is wearing, comments on their footwear, or on one occasion questions about my "knee" which actually was fine, and I am still puzzled as to why the lady with the grey bob inquired at all?? We had politely paused for a few minutes to let another couple go past because we were in no hurry. I do believe that perhaps people who hail from the city may not be in the habit of relaxing, taking one's time, or just stopping to breathe in the healing gifts that are inherent in trees. There is so much to be thankful for in the forest. Other people's ways may not be the same as your own, but that is no reason to begin a boring analysis of some inane detail that no one else cares about remotely. Read the books on "forest bathing" — you might be delighted with what you learn!!
