点评：During a Spring 2025 visit to Florence we had the opportunity to take a guided tour to a couple wineries outside of the city. Our favorite was a very small family run goat farm, Fattoria le Caprine with homemade cheese , wine , olive oil and honey. We enjoyed it so much that when we visited TUSCANY this year 2026 we decided to bring our friends and introduce them to Fattoria le Caprine. We made an appointment to visit the goat barn where the Mama goats and their babies are cared for . Beautiful well cared for animals. In addition we made a reservation for a cheese , olive oil and honey tasting . We had the same host as last year, Matteo and were introduced to his lovely wife Michela and brother, Raffaele … Michela is the cheese maker and what an awesome cheese maker she is. The six adults in our group did a cheese tasting which was accompanied by some of their olive oil homemade honey. It was a gourmet experience to say the least. Small tastes but but just enough to let you taste the delicious products and be yearning for more! Definitely make room in your checked baggage to bring some of these delicacies home. This small and very rustic farm is a beautiful example of what hard-working people can accomplish in TUSCANY. Mateo shared the long-term goal that he his wife and his brother have for the farm. A true Tuscan experience
progress may be slow because it is a small family run business, but with their amazing spirit, determination and hard work it is bound to happen. I can’t wait for our next visit and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.
