Hocking Valley Scenic Railway的点评
点评：We bought tickets online, $22/each. Easy to pick up on site. The staff is friendly.
We sat in an open air car, great choice considering how hot it turned out to be that day. There were a couple of air conditioned cars, but they filled up fast.
The scenery was okay, we crossed rivers and got to wave at the people in canoes and inner tubes. Even saw people gathered at a barn wedding in the distance.
Staff narrated the sites through a loudspeaker which was sometimes difficult to hear. Fortunately, there is an option of following a QR Code to a digital guide.
We went to Historic Robbin’s Crossing toward the end of our trip and there were a few living history volunteers present. Be careful on the entrances to the buildings, they’re old and sometimes rickety. They give you 30 minutes in the village, and it goes pretty quickly. We didn’t get to see one of the buildings because we ran out of time. The schoolhouse was closed for repairs.
Overall a nice little day date. We were in the Hocking Hills area to celebrate our anniversary.
