Great state park and campground
Lake Hope State Park的点评
点评：We stayed at the Lake Hope State Park Campground for two nights, June 5-7, and had a good time. The campground was quiet and clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a camper cabin which included two bunk beds, a small fridge, a window ac unit, and a small table. We had to profit our own linens. The cain was definitely showing its age but both the fridge and AC worked great and the cabin was clean. The grounds were beautiful and we were able to watch lots of birds and squirrels from the cabin porch. The bathrooms are separate from the shower houses so be aware of that but they were well stocked and clean. I was really happy with the campground overall. As this was an adult retreat for my husband and I, we didn't take advantage of any of the stuff for kids, but we could see that they did provide activities and playgrounds and we saw lots of kids there camping with their families.
There were a couple of downsides. First, the campground is in a very hilly area. I'm glad we got a cabin because I'm not sure we would have been able to pitch a tent here. We drove around the campground just to see how the sites looked for future camping and most of them were in some sort of incline. Even our cabin was at the bottom of a hill with a steep downgrade from the parking spot to the cabin itself.
Also, the camp store/office is open very limited hours. And the check-in process is non-existent. We lucked out and caught the lady working the office as she was leaving around 5:30pm on Friday and she explained that there is no check-in or out. They just leave the key in the door for you and we just had to leave it there when we left on Sunday. It just didn't seem very safe. Anyone could have claimed the cabin before we got there and we wouldn't have had anyone to go to about it.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Next time we will probably get a larger cabin by the lodge.

总的来说，我们还是挺享受这次住宿的。下次我们可能会订一个靠近旅馆的更大的小木屋。
