点评：5 stars is not enough! Karwan was a fantastic guide and I can not recommend him enough.
Leading up to the trip, he was well organized and communicative. We had everything arranged ahead of time from airport pickup in Erbil to hotels being booked. Right away, we felt at ease that he had our situation under control.
As a local, Karwan brought a perspective to Kurdistan that we otherwise would not have experienced. His intimate knowledge of restaurants, tea shops, off the beaten path trails, etc provided an incredibly intimate way for us foreigners to dive into a beautiful corner of this world. My personal favorite was spending time in the mountains and staying just outside of Choman. One evening, we stayed in and cooked dolmas together before hiking Mt Halgurd the next morning.
Amongst our group, we all felt that Karwan took great care of us over 5 days. He fit into our group dynamics, offered unique perspective, and made our trip to Kurdistan one we will never forget.
