点评：We visited Cantine Tornatore today for a wine tasting and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Our host was Grace, visiting from Napa Valley, and her knowledge and presentation were excellent. She walked us through a detailed tasting of the full range of wines produced at the estate, including background on the winemaking process, grape varieties, and the history of the winery.
As a fan of Etna Bianco, it was a treat to taste it at the source—I ended up buying a bottle to take back to our accommodation. The winery itself is beautiful, with lovely views and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There’s also the option to enjoy a meat and cheese platter alongside your tasting = easy to book online.
We had walked from Castiglione di Sicilia (just over an hour), and at the end of the visit, we were kindly offered a lift back up the hill by a beautiful lady from Austin, Texas—who we shared our wine with at our accommodation.
This was a very pleasant and informative experience, and a fantastic way to learn more about the unique wines grown on the slopes of Mount Etna. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in wine or local culture.
