Green Bank Observatory的点评
点评：I visited Green Bank for the first time and signed up for their June 6th SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) program, which is offered once a month. The tour was both fantastic and fun. The two tour leaders were clearly passionate about the work being done at Green Bank. Their presentations were engaging, and they answered questions with clarity and insight.
Their friendly, enthusiastic approach transformed what could have been a dry, technical three-hour tour around the campus into a truly pleasant and informative experience. Angela, who led most of the presentations, was outstanding. Her deep knowledge and ability to communicate complex topics effectively in a cheerful way made a lasting impression—I can’t say enough good things about her.
The highlight of the tour for me was seeing the main radio telescope up close. Its sheer size and the complexity of its engineering were jaw-dropping. It’s a marvel to behold, and even more incredible to consider the discoveries it has enabled.
